Wrote... I am a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Education and I brought a group of trainee teachers to Year 5 at Beaver Road last week. I have visited many times in the past and, as ever, I found the staff and Head Teacher Mr. How extremely helpful (especially Mrs Knight on this visit). The group of trainee teachers got a great deal from the visit and we all wish to pass on our thanks.

Wrote... Wow Mr Ridyard...that makes me nearly as old as you! I work as an assistant at the school prior to becoming old and decrepit....some people say I am like that already!! Let me know if there's anything specific about the school you would like detail about which isn't already on the website. Classes are no higher than 30 nowadays....all classes have interactive white boards and virtually all children are computer literate well before they leave the school. When did you leave for Queensland? What was your best memory of our school? And what advice would you give children in their final year here? All good wishes

Wrote... I was supposed to be going to Poland this week to meet up with schools from other countries. I was stranded at Liverpool John Lennon Airport for 24 hours with hundreds of other people. Most of them were trying to get back home to Poland. I felt very sorry for all the mums and dads that had little children with them. We all tried to help each other and keep our spirits up. In the end all the fights to everywhere were cancelled. I think they said that the pilots and cabin crew could not get to the airport, airplanes were stuck in other airports and there was no more de-icer left to use on the wings of planes so they could take off. Never mind! There are lots more worse things that can happen to a Little Bear!

I really miss Beaver Road and all the teachers - I'm going to come back to visit you all in Cheadle Hulme's 2 WEEK half term! :) I especially miss you Miss Mistryxxxx It's weird because I hang out with Miriam all the time even though she's in a different form! I'm Girls Sports Captain in my form too! :) I'm on the A team at netball and earlier we played Bradford Grammar and thrashed them 23-0!!! I'm loving High School but I really miss my class at Beaver Road, as I'm still getting used to my new form. I know 2 people in it from Netball, who went to Hursthead in Cheadle. Wrote... Hiya Everyone! Great to catch up with you all on the Guestbook. I've been at School all summer (if you can call it summer - whoa all that rain!!). I've had lots of company though so don't be worried about me being by myself in Mr How's room. The builders have been all over the School. They had to repair the roof over the Little Hall because we had a flood! The Year 2 classrooms look brill and there's new toilets for the Year Two and I think Year One. The halls have both been painted and the new Library is being put together. I think we are going to ask a lot of mums and dads to help put the Library together - sorting out the books and stuff like that. And the teachers have a special surprise waiting for them! (Shhh - it's a secret!). To all of my Y6 friends who are off to their High Schools next week - you take good care of yourselves and remember - Beaver Road is the Biz!! Love to you x

Wrote... i miss year 6 and i h8te missing stuff and erm... whoops i forgot what im a gonna say o yeah Mr. anderson when the day i left beaver road you said practice a bit more of butterfly right??? so that day i went swimming and swam butterfly and then this guy came up to me and said can you swim any other strokes so i swam alllll of the other strokes then he said you could possible swim for England under 12's and i was like aaw i have two swim for England what which means more lengths... then ma dad told the details and stuff then next day i had a letter it said do you want to go to this swimming camp to sharpen up your swimming skills i was like my swimming skills were already sharp like a knife then my dad sent me there and believe it or not i had 2 swim 2 whole miles non-stop in 1hour i couldn't b bothered but my dad bribed me with some scrumdiddlyumciouce sweets so i did two miles in 53:21mins i was knackered and i got the sweets and whilst my dad was driving me home i was thing it was all Mr. anderson's fault!!!

Le Pre Catalan was brilliant and the group leaders who looked after us were wicked (I think that means really cool in Beaver Road language!) They took it in turns to look after me and even brought some bears from home to keep me company. Weird (I think that means really good as well!)! I think my T shirt needs a bit of a wash. I am glad Amy brought a spare shirt for me to wear. Thanks Year 6 for taking me along with you. You are a great bunch of mates for a little bear like me. Hope you all get a good night's sleep. Wrote... I attended Beaver Road from 1970 to 1976 and remember some wonderful times (and also some not so wonderful)! The photographs bring back some lovely memories. one of our photographic projects was to photograph a plant every 12 hours and after about three weeks, the film was developed into a movie which showed the growth and movement as if by magic. I was slightly shocked to see the central lawn not converted into gardening plots but times move on. The caretaker would have kittens if he saw it now. Best wishes to all the staff and pupils. My sleigh is mended now and I have a new ski on one side...it's due for an MOT soon too. Someone asked me about my wife. Well, Mrs Santa stays up here to feed all the elves and tuck them in at night. She also has a very long walk to collect her pension as our local post office closed a year or so ago. The older elves are still furious. One of them (an elf-time organiser) is over 300 years old and her legs aren't what they used to be. Before I go, remember to find out the names of all my reindeers for when I come next time. Rudolph is, of course, correct as are Donner und Blitzen.... but Elano, Jo and Wright-Phillips are definitely not. So, bye bye all you wonderful children....have a fantastic 2009....and look after Bravo (what a nice chap) and all those marvellous teachers and assistants. Some of them look a bit old and wobbly but they are all young at heart!!

All the Reception children sang beautifully and looked brilliant on the stage. So grown up and happy. Year 1 made me cry! I can't believe you are all only in year 1. Wrote... Hi to everyone in 5k especially to Tom A and the rest of the gang. Did you know that Billy fell off the stage in rehearsals yesterday? Hope you can see Billy, Tom A and Tom I in The Stars Are Coming Out For Christmas. Billy is the person with really blond hair he features in the scene where all the children build a snowman. Tom I has glasses and plays Noel, one of the presenters of the show, he wears a dicky bow tie and looks like he is about to dance for Strictly Come Dancing! Tom A is also a presenter for the Christmas awards and has red hair and a red and black scarf. He also wears a blue t shirt and he plays Ollie Berry. CYA. Hi to Mrs Knight!!!!!!!!!!

Wrote... Dear Beaver Road YR5/6 netball team, It was fun playing against mhsg! Ok, ok, the y6s thrashed us, but well done y5, you beat them like there was no tomorrow! I think we should train (without Miss Mistry, poor her!) at break times on some days. We could create new warm ups, foster new techniques, learn new skills etc!
